Join us for an evening of chili tasting! Support your local community and first responders and vote on the BEST CHILI! There will be plenty of parking and large tents, so the event will be RAIN OR SHINE. Come eat, drink, vote, and be MERRY! Participants should provide 5 gallons of chili. Fire Department and/or restaurant kitchens will be made available for out-of-town participants by contacting the event coordinator.

The Beacon will supply cups, spoons & power source for crockpots.

1. Chili must be homemade.
2. Chili must arrive ready to eat in a crockpot or a heater of the contestants choice.
3. A list of ingredients must accompany the chili.
4. Chili can be made with or without meat or beans.

Entries will be judged in 6 categories:

1. Flavor
2. Texture
3. Consistency
4. Blend of Spices
5. Aroma
6. Color

There will also be a chili pepper eating contest and a mustache contest with judging at 6:00pm and a Basket Raffle to raise additional funds for Special Olympics Pennsylvania.

If you prefer to eat something other than chili, the restaurant and bar will be open inside. You must have proper ID to consume alcohol.

The Guns & Hoses Lounge will be held at this same location from 6pm-10pm this evening, with a live band playing from 7:00pm-10:00pm.
