2024 CAN-AM GAMES

Eligible first Responders will have the opportunity to compete in roughly 33 events taking place at 16 different venues throughout Butler County July 15-21, 2024!

WHO CAN COMPETE?

All sworn Federal, State/Provincial, County, Municipal and Military law enforcement officers, weight control officers, corrections officers and dispatchers employed by a law enforcement agency (male or female, active or retired) are eligible. Police reservists and cadets who have 180-days of continuous law enforcement service, have received formal training in law enforcement and have powers of arrest are eligible.

General Rules

WHAT ARE THE REGISTRATION FEES FOR THE 2024 GAMES?

Games Registration is $60.00, and includes participating in your first sport.  Each additional sport registration is $15.00.  Golf events have additional fees that you will be charged when completing your registration, as noted on the registration site and in the sports description.  Several other events have fees that you will be required to pay on site, as noted on the registration site and in the sports description.

WHERE IS REGISTRATION?

Registration for the Can-Am Games will be open 7AM – 6PM daily from July 15-21, 2024 at Butler County Community College, Founders Hall – 107 College Drive, Butler, PA.

Participants must check-in during the open registration hours to pick up their credentials, prior to participating in any event.

HOW MANY EVENTS CAN I PARTICIPATE IN?

Athletes can participate in as many events as they would like! In the 2018 edition of the Games, athletes participated in an average of 4 events per person.

CAN I CANCEL AFTER I HAVE REGISTERED?

Refunds will not be issued for cancellations except for extenuating circumstances approved by the Games Organizing Committee.  Any approved refunds will be subject to an administrative fee.  Should an event be cancelled by the Games Organizing Committee, you will receive a refund.

WHAT IS THE FINAL DATE I CAN REGISTER FOR THE GAMES?

– Registration will close on May 10, 2024 for the CrossFit and Olympic Weightlifting events.
– Registration will close on June 24, 2024 for all other events.

HOW SHOULD REGISTRATIONS FOR DOUBLES AND TEAM EVENTS BE HANDLED?

  • When registering for a Doubles or Team Event, the team captain should register first, specify the team name and identify the others that will be registering for the team.  The team captain should then notify the other team members that the team has been created and each individual team member should then complete their individual registrations as soon as possible.  Each individual team member will select the appropriate team name from the drop down list for placement on the correct team when completing their registration.
  • Your Team will not be officially registered until all members of the team have completed their individual registration.

SHOULD MY SPOUSE OR CHILDREN REGISTER FOR THE GAMES IF THEY ARE ONLY PARTICIPATING IN THE SOCIAL EVENTS?

No, if your spouse or children are not competing in the sporting events, but would like to attend a social event, please include their tickets in your registration in the social events section.

WILL TRANSPORTATION BE OFFERED TO THE EVENT SITES?

No, transportation will not be provided.

Rental vehicles are available at the airport and can be reserved here.

WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR BRINGING MY WEAPON AND AMMUNITION FROM OUTSIDE OF THE U.S.?

U.S. Customs and Border Protection Article Number 000001204: Bringing a Firearm or ammunition into the United States for hunting/sport purposes.

ATF Form 6NIA – Application/Permit for Temporary Importation of Firearms and Ammunition by Nonimmigrant Aliens.

ARE SPECTATORS ALLOWED TO WATCH ALL OF THE EVENTS?

Spectators are welcomed at all of the events except the following:

Archery 3D, Archery Target & Archery Field, Biathlon, Pistol Duty, PAP, PPC, Rifle, Skeet, Sporting Clays, Trap Shooting – Spectators are limited to family members of competitors, only.  Spectator entry may be limited by space constraints and is not guaranteed.

Narcotics DogNo spectators will be permitted at this event.
